AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM - Rocket City Makers

A hands-on creative adventure for kids, every Tuesday!

Looking for a fun, engaging, and screen-free way to boost your child’s imagination after school? Welcome to Rocket City Makers, Hammer & Stain Huntsville’s brand new weekly after-school program designed for curious, crafty kids who love to create!

🧒✨ Whether they’re painting, building, pouring, or crafting, every Tuesday brings a new theme and a fresh DIY experience they’ll be proud to bring home!

💡 Here’s how it works:

  • 🗓 When: Every Tuesday afternoon, 3:45 - 5:30 PM
  • 🗓 AUG - DEC, following the Madison School Co. for any breaks!
  • 🖌 What: A new themed DIY project each week, perfect for building skills and confidence.
  • 🎨 Where: Right here at our studio in Madison!
  • 👧🧒 Who can join: Grades 1 - 8
  • 🏫 Individual Classes: $35 each per child
  • 🏫 Full Semester 17 weeks: $403 (Save $87 and get a PERSONALIZED APRON!)
  • 🏫 Half Semester 8 weeks: $210 (Get ONE CLASS FREE!)
  • 🪑 Limited to 15 seats per week to ensure personal guidance and space for creativity.

Join us for a single session or sign up for multiple weeks! New projects each time mean the fun never gets old.

BREAKDOWN OF CLASS SCHEDULE, MONTHLY THEMES AND PROJECTS:

👉 We will be able to take a total of 15 students signed up for each day of class. CLASSES CLOSE EACH FRIDAY BEFORE THE FOLLOWING SESSION.

👉 Classes will be non-refundable if missed.  If time allows, make up projects may be completed at the next class or during Open Studio (parent must stay if make up is done during walk-in hours)

How It Works

Choose your project and design options from the dropdown menu. If applicable, provide any required personalization details, such as:

  • Names or initials
  • Color and stain choices
  • Other customizations specific to your project

Once you’ve made your selections:

  • Review and agree to our policies
  • Add your project to the cart and proceed to checkout
  • We’ll prepare everything so it’s ready for your scheduled workshop!

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

Once your order has been submitted, we immediately begin the production process for your project. We do not offer refunds. If you are unable to attend your scheduled workshop, you have the following options:

  • Rescheduling: You may request a studio credit by emailing Hammerandstainhuntsville@gmail.com at least 48 hours before your class. Studio credits are valid for 6 months. Requests made less than 48 hours before may not be honored.
  • Alternative Options: If you cannot attend, you may pick up your project to complete at home, attend another available workshop, or join an Open Studio session (availability may vary).

Hammer & Stain reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page. If you have any questions regarding cancellations or other policies, please contact us.

Guest Policy

Unless specified in the workshop description, only registered guests may attend our workshops, including private parties. Bringing an unregistered guest may result in them being asked to leave, as this impacts the experience of our registered makers.

If you’d like to add a guest, you can inquire about purchasing an additional seat—subject to approval. By completing your registration, you agree to these terms.

Wood

This is a natural wood workshop, so your sign will have random cracks,
chips, knots and other natural blemishes that give it character! Some peeling may occur. We will do our very best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional, but due to the nature of the workshop we can make no guarantees. Please keep in mind, no sign is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted, but it will certainly be wall worthy!
